Helen of Troy

Helen of Troy seems to be the root of the Trojan wars according to Homer. But this woman who was supposedly the most beautiful woman in the world, doesn't seem like she existed in the real world. Because there is no historical written account of the Trojan wars its hard to absolutely say this woman did not exist. But looking to the story told by Homer her character seems to be extremely fictional. First she is said to be the most beautiful woman in the world which doesn't give her realism, instead it makes her sound symbolic or poetic. Second she is swept of her feet by a Trojan prince without much effort it seems, this doesn't seem likely because if she is supposedly the most beautiful woman in the world status seems important to her and she was already married to a king why would she seemingly without basis fall in love with a prince. With just these two points alone this woman definitely seems like the creation of someones imagination.

Great Leaders

In every great leaders life it seems like for those leaders to become great they had to go through some lumps and bumps or setbacks. These setbacks in my opinion are exactly what defines a leader, it makes a leader show that even though they went through some hard times or strife they were strong enough to get through it and set an example for others.I definitively don't think less of a leader that shows weakness or encounters failure. Gandhi comes to mind a great leader and even though he was abused by his enemies and constantly faced oppression he stayed strong and never resorted to violence to obtain his goals.

Just Me

Hi my name is Phillip Aaron  Coleman but everyone calls me Phil. I'm 17 years old and currently living in Canal Winchester OH. I am apart of a family of four. My family is made up of my mom, dad, and older sister. I am your average teenager that enjoys hanging with friends, sports, tv, and video games. My favorite sport to play and watch is basketball. I play on average three times a week. I sometimes enjoy school it usually depends on what kind of teachers of have. My favorite subjects in school are between math and science.
